During the Spring 2013 semester, Oliver James ‘14 and Taran Catania ‘13 taught the student-led forum, BIOL420, “Birds of Central Connecticut: An Introduction to Field Ornithology.” Last week, the students bird-watched near the Connecticut River in Cromwell.
“We were on a fairly large, unnamed plot of preserved land, watching an osprey eat a fish in a tree,” Taran explained. The BIOL forum is one of 15 taught this semester. Each class is sponsored by a faculty member and enrollment is limited to 15 per class. THIS IS WHY.
