David Stouck ‘15, a sociology and East Asian studies double major, works on a poem for Wesleyan’s performance-based slam poetry organization, WeSlam, behind the Davison Art Center on Nov. 29. The WeSlam finals are Dec. 8 and winners will represent Wesleyan at regional and national events.
“Wesleyan introduced me to slam poetry when I was visiting over WesFest as a pre-frosh,” Stouck says. “Ever since, I have been working with members of the slam community here on campus and improving week-by-week at Writers Block, and other student run workshops.”
